Introducing Batch Scan Wizard 6 for Image Access Scanners

We are excited to unveil the latest version of Batch Scan Wizard 6 from Image Access for their Bookeye and WideTEK scanners.

Batch Scan Wizard (BSW) is Image Access’s quick and user-friendly software for managing large-scale scanning projects. It boosts data throughput and cuts down on manual tasks. While perfect for big scanning jobs, BSW also shines in smaller projects that need advanced features like page splitting or extracting specific document areas.

What’s New in Batch Scan Wizard 6

The import feature now enables you to import and manipulate digital copies from past scans. Additionally, with the Export suite, you have the ability to convert image files without rescanning. Moreover, you can adjust resolution, image size, and file formats instantly. Furthermore, add watermarks whenever necessary, ensuring your documents maintain their proprietary marks.

The new BSW 6 now supports OCR text capture in up to eight languages, making it highly versatile. Also, it captures detailed metadata through page indexing, enhancing document organization. Moreover, the updated user interface introduces new icons and a dark mode, designed to reduce eye strain. Furthermore, it offers customized workspaces, quicker scanner selection, and simpler switching between Scan2Net scanners, streamlining your scanning processes. These practical enhancements significantly improve the functionality of the expanded BSW version, boosting productivity and user experience.

First Success Stories

The Indian National Archives, alongside various cities and municipalities in Finland, have actively scanned documents. Additionally, several German state offices and local authorities have joined them. They imported existing digitized data sets into Batch Scan Wizard 6. Each digital copy received metadata tagging via the Export Suite. Furthermore, they output these with the corresponding metadata files.

In India, they capture document content in eight different languages. These include Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Sanskrit, Arabic, Urdu, and Persian. They use OCR technology for this purpose. Moreover, they export these documents as searchable PDF/PDF-A files. Alternatively, they output them as text documents.
